Liberty, Mississippi, community is mourning the untimely death of beloved native and standout athlete, RaJuan Clark.

According to reports, RaJuan Clark lost his life after being fatally shot over the weekend at an untimely age of 17; however, details surrounding his untimely death have not yet been disclosed as the family requests privacy during this difficult time.

Furthermore, the untimely death of RaJuan Clark has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and loved ones.

RaJuan Clark touched the lives of many with his amazing athletic skills and kind, cheerful nature.

Many of his loved ones are recalling RaJuan’s memories on social media and extending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.

One wrote:

“Pray for the family of Rajuan Clark and his Amite County community. Sadly, Rajuan lost his life last night due to unfortunate events. Another beautiful and amazing kid taken from us in Mississippi.”

Another added:

“I know the feeling of losing a sibling. I know the feeling of losing a parent. And it hurt like hell. I never wanted to feel the hurt of losing a nephew because I know it would hurt worst because I love them like my own.Tt love you and going to miss you Rajuan Clark Jr.”

RaJuan Antonio Clark Jr. Was a Senior Athlete at Amite County High School

The late RaJuan Clark Jr. was a multi-sport athlete who played football and baseball for the Trojans at Amite County High School.

A senior in the Class of 2026, RaJuan was known for his athleticism, leadership, and determination on and off the field.

Standing 6’1”, on the football field, he played as a wide receiver (WR) and defensive back (DB), wearing jersey #3.

He recorded a 40-yard dash time of 4.68 seconds, demonstrating impressive speed and agility.

In baseball, was a shortstop (SS) and a right-handed pitcher (RHP), showing versatility and skill in multiple positions.

RaJuan’s athletic journey at Amite County High School was significant, as he contributed significantly to both the football and baseball programs.

His teammates remember him for his dedication in practice, his sportsmanship during games, and his leadership in the locker room.

Beyond his athletic achievements, RaJuan was known for his warmth, positivity, and strong bonds with family, friends, and teammates.

The Amite County community is coming together to honor his memory and the impact he made in his short life.

RaJuan Clark is survived by his mother, Wykeshia Jones, uncles, aunts, cousins, and the entire family.

His mother, Wykeshia, took to her social media to express her sorrow at losing her beloved son, RaJuan, and wrote:

“I want to first start off by saying for all the text,phones calls and visits they’re not going unnoticed. However I can’t respond to every one individually. My family has taken a great hit/lost last night as you all already know. Our baby was known and loved by everyone. No one deserves to be murdered like this. At this time all we’re asking for is prayers, prayers. A family that praises together stays together. This has to be by far the most hardest thing I’ve been had to go through in my life l.
💔💔💔LONG LIVE MY SON Rajuan Clark Jr.TAKE YOUR REST SON I GOT FROM HERE”

RaJuan Clark Jr. was preceded in death by his beloved father, RaJuan Antonio Clark Sr., who passed away on July 4, 2014.

His family will soon provide details about his funeral and memorial services. Similarly, a Balloon release to honor the late RaJuan Jr. will be held on November 25, 2026, at 3 PM at Amite County High School football field.
