Atlanta Parent Alleges Cheer Coach Harassed Daughter at Practices and School, Told Other Kids Not to Be Friends With Her!

50-year-old cheer coach tells little girls to shun Ady and shows up at school to call her a bad influence.

A mother named Alley Durrett took to Facebook to share that her little daughter, Ady, has been bullied by the Temple Recreation Department’s cheer coach, Tiffany.

She started her post with a bold take, writing that she didn’t mean to make it public, but since the rec center hasn’t done a thing after she reported it, she had no choice.

Alley wrote:

I didn’t want to take this public but because the Temple Rec center isn’t doing ANYTHING about it. Here it goes. I’m doing this to see if anyone else has had issues like this with their child at the Temple Recreation Dept as well as to bring awareness, because my child has been harassed and bullied for well over a month.

Her daughter, Ady, had been excited about cheer until about a month ago. That’s when the head coach, a woman named Tiffany who’s around fifty, started bullying her.

According to Alley, it started small, like leaving Ady out of things and being rude to her, and in no time, it got worse.

If not, the coach told the other girls on the team they weren’t allowed to be friends with Ady anymore.

In fact, kids on her team, besides a few, are telling Ady they can’t talk to her or they’ll be removed from the cheer team.

Then the coach actually went to Ady’s school, found kids who were sitting with Ady at lunch, pulled them away, and told them Ady was a “bad influence” and they couldn’t talk to her.

She defended her daughter, saying she is the complete opposite of a “bad influence.” She is the type of kid who gets awards at school for being kind, won Tiger of the Month two months in a row, and has never once been in trouble.

Because of this bullying, now Ady comes home crying every day, begging not to go back to school because the kids ignore her or tell her, “Coach Tiffany said we can’t talk to you.”

Alley says her daughter doesn’t even want to cheer anymore. The girl who used to love school and practice now hates both because of this grown woman.

Similarly, a bunch of other parents have apparently reported the same coach over the years for similar stuff, and nothing ever happens.

Alley shared a screenshot of a parent’s comment, whose kid also quit the team because of the coach’s behavior.

When Alley tried to call the coach to figure out what was going on, she got blocked. Then she got kicked out of the team group chat. After that, the coach started telling everyone Ady had been kicked off the squad, even though she hadn’t done anything wrong.

Alley told the rec that her daughter wouldn’t come to the last game because of all the mess, and suddenly, the rec said, “Fine, then she’s off the team and won’t get a trophy.”

Last night at the final game, the coach was walking around asking little girls if they thought she was a good coach because “Ady’s mom is tearing me up on Facebook.”

Alley has messages, screenshots, adult witnesses, and even kids who have stuck up for Ady and told the truth about what the coach said.

She’s already talked to a lawyer and says she’s filing for a restraining order because the coach still shows up at school events and stares them down.

Meanwhile, Alley just wants people to know what’s going on and is asking if anyone else in Temple has dealt with the same thing at the rec center.
