The Cibola County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Anthony Archuleta after an investigation into alleged crimes involving minors, officials confirmed in a statement released on January 14, 2026.
According to the Cibola County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, investigators identified Archuleta as a suspect in a case involving Sexual Exploitation of Children (Cause or Permit to Record), Child Luring by Computer or Electronic Device, and two counts of Criminal Sexual Communication with a Child.
After reviewing the evidence, authorities secured an arrest warrant.
Deputies took Archuleta into custody on January 13, 2026, at approximately 12:43 p.m. Law enforcement conducted the arrest without incident, and officials did not report any resistance at the time of apprehension.
Cibola County Sheriff Larry D. Diaz emphasized the department’s commitment to protecting minors and holding offenders accountable.
“Protecting our children is a top priority,” Diaz stated.
“We will continue to aggressively investigate and pursue those who exploit or harm minors.”
The sheriff’s office confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing and declined to release additional details at this stage.
