During a youth flag football event on Saturday in Clovis, New Mexico, a coach from a visiting Roswell team engaged in behavior deemed highly inappropriate, prompting immediate involvement from law enforcement.

Both the Clovis Police Department and the State Police were notified following the incident.

Authorities removed the coach from the field and issued a trespass notice.

Despite this action, the individual was allowed to remain outside the fenced area and continue observing the game while minor athletes were still present.

Multiple adults at the event described the coach’s behavior as inappropriate and concerning, with children directly witnessing the actions.

One adult, reportedly affiliated with the state’s Children, Youth, and Families Department (CYFD), was seen dancing nearby, seemingly endorsing the behavior despite the presence of minors.

“Indecent exposure to children—insane that she was allowed to stand right there outside the fence after that.”

Another added,

“This isn’t about opinions. It’s about professionalism and protecting kids.”

Other posts reflected frustration at the lack of accountability.

How could an adult do that in front of tons of kids?” wrote one parent.

The incident has raised serious questions about youth sports safety, supervision, and the responsibilities of adults in positions of authority.

Community members continue to call for clarity on the police response and what measures will be taken to ensure children’s safety at future events.

The Clovis Police Department has not released additional information regarding any ongoing investigation or potential charges related to the incident.
