Kyree Jaki, a father from Columbus, Ohio, took to his Facebook to share about surviving a scary close call in a Target parking lot about two months ago that almost turned into a nightmare.

He also put up a short video he took right after it happened. You can hear him breathing hard, still scared out of his mind from how close they came to getting hit.

Kyree is counting his blessings; he and his family barely survived the incident.

He and his girlfriend, Myleia, had taken their son to Target to buy a nice shirt for their elder son, Ayden, for his school pictures.

Ayden plays baseball, so they wanted him to look sharp for the photos.

They got what they came for and were walking out across the parking lot, just like any other normal day.

However, as they stepped into the parking lot, Kyree noticed a car flying toward them way too fast.

Kyree truly believes the driver was staring at his phone and not paying attention to where he was going.

In a split second, Kyree yelled for his girlfriend, Myleia, to stop walking. If he hadn’t seen the car coming, it could have hit all three of them: him, Myleia, or their little boy.

Kyree later found out the driver didn’t even have a valid license, and the car wasn’t his. Despite this, cops let him walk away without arresting him.

The whole thing left the family shaken. They’re all okay physically, but Kyree said it still bothers him thinking about how close they came to losing everything because of somebody being reckless.

He posted about it on Facebook to remind everyone to slow down and pay attention in parking lots, especially when kids are around. He wrote:

I’m glad we good for the most part but yall be safe mfs can’t drive at all 😭💔

The post got an overwhelming response from many online; hence, he thanked everyone for their support, writing:

Overwhelmed with all the love and support from so many different people thank you all Little A is doing great all the prayers definitely have helped 🙏🏽🖤
