Forks High School Coach Brian Weekes Faces Federal Trial Over Allegations

Forks High School cross-country coach Brian Weekes’s federal lawsuit is set for a jury trial in February 2026 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington in Tacoma.

His case involves serious allegations from his former assistant coach, Kari Larson.

Kari, a 2015 Forks High graduate, accuses Brian of sexual harassment, assault, stalking, and sending offensive texts. The original complaint was filed on August 29, 2026.

According to her complaint, the behavior began soon after she was hired as his assistant in 2017. She played soccer for him in elementary, middle, and high school.

She states that she previously had a positive student-coach relationship with him, but his conduct toward her changed significantly when she became a colleague.

Moreover, the lawsuit names the Quillayute Valley School District and the district’s assistant superintendent and athletic director, Kyle Weakley, as defendants.

Sad to see the school I had gone to hide shit like this.

An amended complaint claims the district was aware of other reports about Brian allegedly harassing female students but failed to address those or Larson’s complaints adequately.

In their official responses, Brian and the school district have denied all allegations. Brian claims that Kari initiated many of the interactions in question.

The trial is scheduled to begin on February 4, 2026.
