Noel “Taylor” Davis II’s death on December 1, 2026, at just 33 years old, has left a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Born on July 27, 1992, Taylor lived as a bright, unforgettable light whose heart, humor, and extraordinary talent defined him.
His passing has sparked deep grief, but also an outpouring of love, memories, and admiration for the one-of-a-kind soul he was.
From a young age, Taylor embraced music as a core part of his identity.
He into a gifted musician — an extraordinary guitarist, a talented songwriter, and a vocalist capable of singing nearly any genre with ease.
His passion for music shaped his life, and he shared his gift freely, leaving lasting impressions on countless listeners.
Taylor also achieved success outside of music. A proud 2010 graduate of Somerset High School, he played football for the Briar Jumpers and contributed to the school’s unforgettable State Runner-Up team.
His commitment as an athlete reflected the same dedication and determination he brought to every part of his life.

Taylor’s faith guided him from an early age. He professed his belief in Jesus Christ and became a member of Denham Street Baptist Church, where he found community, support, and purpose.
His spiritual foundation carried him throughout life and grounded him through challenges and triumphs.
Noel “Taylor” Davis II’s death is felt most deeply by his family, who adored him endlessly.
As his mother’s only child and his father’s only son, he held a cherished place in their lives.
He is survived by his parents, Noel Davis of Bronston, Kentucky, and Karen Dykes Davis of Science Hill, Kentucky.
He leaves behind three older sisters — Carla Rigsby and Kelly Ketring (Kent Warrum) of Pendleton, Indiana, and Jessica Bolin of Somerset, Kentucky — along with his beloved brother-in-law, Dewayne “Dee-Wayne” Bolin.
Taylor also shared deep bonds beyond his immediate family. He is survived by his honorary sister, Kelly Steele, who loved him as her own, and by his cherished girlfriend, Stephanie Wallace, along with her daughters Lily, Bristol, and Milla, who brought him immeasurable joy.
Long before he was born, Taylor held the title of uncle, and over the years, he became a beloved supporter, protector, and friend to his nieces and nephews: Brittany Ketring (Micah Stuart), TJ Holloway (Lindsey Craig), Andres Hernandez, Brianna Lipscomb, Trevor Lipscomb, Jaslyn Garrett (Jason Gambrel), Jacob, Christian, and Ivy Bolin.

He also proudly celebrated becoming a great-uncle to Maximo Hernandez.
Taylor’s extended family — aunts Jeannie (Glenn) Farmer and Tammy (David) Muse, and uncle Frankie (Denise) Dykes — cherished him deeply. He also held special bonds with cousins Christy (Danny Thomas) Stevens and Angie (Steven) Slone and their families.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jewell Williams and Basil Davis, and his maternal grandparents, Ila and Jewel Dykes.
Those who knew Taylor remember his unmatched charisma. His witty, often sarcastic humor kept everyone laughing, and his joyful personality made every room brighter.
He lived to have fun, to spread laughter, and to make others feel valued. He believed wholeheartedly in the goodness of people and carried that belief throughout his life.
A dedicated Indianapolis Colts fan, Taylor cheered with passion and conviction, never wavering in his loyalty.
But more than anything, Taylor loved deeply. He had an extraordinary ability to make others feel seen, appreciated, and loved in ways that will never be forgotten.
Funeral services for Taylor will be held at Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 5th, from 5–8 PM, followed by the funeral on Saturday, December 6th, at 12:00 PM. Pallbearers will include Dewayne Bolin, Trevor Lipscomb, TJ Holloway, Jason Gambrel, Daniel Cook, Jacob Simpson, Jeff Keene, Drew Patton, Seth Weihrauch, Mark Johnson, and Tyler Logan.
Numerous honorary pallbearers will stand in recognition of the many lives Taylor touched.
