In a single week, two coaches were arrested at IAHS, raising serious concerns among parents and the community.
Jamie Vaughn Edwards is a 45-year-old assistant principal and former coach at Itawamba Agricultural High School in Mississippi.
As per Itawamba County Chief Deputy Adam Kostelansky, Jamie was arrested on September 11, 2026.
Superintendent of the Itawamba County School District, Austin Alexander, issued a statement, writing:
On Wednesday, a personnel matter at Itawamba Agricultural High School was addressed, and the individual involved is no longer employed by IAHS. Families and staff were notified that same afternoon.
Another personnel issue remains under investigation in cooperation with the Itawamba County Sheriff’s Office. Because these are personnel matters, we are limited in what can be shared publicly. Unfortunately, some rumors and false information have been circulated, and we urge our community to rely only on official communications from the district.
We ask for understanding and respect as we follow the proper process. Please know that our priority remains ensuring the safety, well-being, and success of our students and employees at IAHS and throughout the district.

Two IAHS Coaches Arrested In A Single Week!
In a single week, two separate incidents at Itawamba Agricultural High School (IAHS) led to major controversy.
Reports circulated that a coach had been fired for allegedly engaging in inappropriate behavior with students.
Coach was reportedly filming girls and using fake social media accounts to lure them.
People in the community began speaking out, saying the school was attempting to hide the seriousness of the situation to protect its reputation.
Additionally, many parents believed that the lack of transparency put students at risk.
They are demanding answers as two IAHS coaches were involved in a serious incident within a single week.
Furthermore, one alumnus wrote:
Prayers for everyone involved. I am a graduate of IAHS and pray this and any other issues are handled in prayer and not judgement.
One parent expressed outrage after hearing about the incidents at IAHS and questioned:
