Lake Charles’ Hamilton Christian Suspends Middle School Coach Amid Sheriff’s Investigation into On-Campus Alleged Incidents

Shade Room Louisiana reported that the Hamilton Christian Board allegedly placed their middle school football coach, Dexter Washington, on leave amid the sheriff’s investigation into the campus.

The “alleged incidents” on the campus kept parents, families, and the whole community on edge.

According to the authorities, an investigation is currently taking place at Hamilton Christian School. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office and school officials have confirmed that they are investigating matters at the school.

The Hamilton Christian School Board stated in its letter to parents that the investigation concerns events allegedly occurring on campus.

While specific details have not been officially released, some sources have made serious claims, alleging that .

Furthermore, a change in leadership has also occurred. The school board announced that Principal Morgan Daugherty has been placed on temporary leave and Meyshana Lunon is now serving as the interim principal.

An internal review has also been initiated to determine if any school policies were violated and to identify areas for improvement.

Hamilton Christian Coach Dexter Washington on Leave Amid Sheriff’s Investigation

A middle school football coach at Hamilton Christian School has been suspended as the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office investigates alleged incidents on campus.

The school’s board placed coach Dexter Washington on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. Details of the alleged incidents have not been made public.

The news has sparked mixed reactions from the school’s community.

Some alumni have come to Coach Washington’s defense, describing him as a positive influence, whereas others thought the opposite.

One of the alumni, OffOne Slatt, believes Dexter is a lovely person who helped him transition from the streets to Hamilton.

The school had changed the lives of countless young people in the class of 2026, who were headed down the wrong path or were on the verge of dropping out of one of the local schools.

I firmly believe somebody is behind this out of jealousy and this is the low of the lowest . Hamilton completely changed my life and I’m nothing but grateful for the opportunity of attending such amazing school and being in the presents of 2 amazing souls. I have nothing but positive words and all aspirations for Hamilton.

Similarly, Kim Collins believes that Coach Dexter wasn’t involved in the campus’s alleged incident.

Coach was/is a great man that changed the lives of many athletes for the better. He was a great mentor to my son during his time at Hamilton. Coach shouldn’t be catching strays. We all have a past. He has changed for the better. He probably uses his past to testify to these athletes.

However, not all shared this view.

Drea Williams expressed that Hamilton Christian School had shady staff, including the principal, administrators, and coaches.

They want people to lie and then fire them when they refuse to lie. God forbid you stick up for the right thing!! 0/10 wouldn’t recommend this school. Especially with it suppose ro be representing christ!

Nonetheless, the school has not commented further, citing the ongoing investigation.
