It started as an innocent TikTok Live moment, a little lighthearted flirting, a profile picture that seemed too good to be true, and a Memphis mom known for her cheerleader spirit and sense of humor.
But for Brandi Covington-Windom, what started as a casual online interaction turned into one of the funniest viral moments to hit local social media this week.
Brandi, affectionately known around Memphis for her laugh and no-nonsense humor, joined a live chat where her friend Rakita Marcianna was approached by a man claiming to be a “perfect match.”
His profile picture seemed charming enough, well-groomed, confident, and camera-ready.
But when he joined the live video and turned on his camera, things took a hilarious turn that had thousands of viewers laughing uproariously.
Brandi wrote,
“When I tell you I thought it was the perfect match looking at his profile picture… He joined the live and it was like magic,” . “He looked like a totally different man. Hunni, I laughed so mf hard. Them profile pictures will catfish a mf so quick. Stay woke people 😂😂😂.”
Within moments of the man revealing his real face, Brandi couldn’t contain herself. Her laughter burst out so uncontrollably that even Rakita, who was trying to keep things polite, gave up and joined in.
The man, seemingly embarrassed, hung up the live session, leaving everyone in stitches. In another comment, Brandi added,
“Y’all, I tried not to laugh,” . “He turned that light on and it was over 😂😂😂. I couldn’t help myself. Cameron almost got us.”
The video’s energy spread quickly across Facebook and TikTok, pulling in a flood of reactions from friends, locals, and total strangers who couldn’t stop laughing either. Latoya Glover wrote,
“Girl, I’m crinnnne! Why you laugh in that man face that hard, Brandi?! 😂😂😭😭😭😂”
Nicole Wilson Davis ,
He should’ve never turned that light on with so much confidence… I wish he told you he had a power outage
Even Rakita, the woman at the center of the “romantic” mishap, chimed in with a resigned laugh:
Childdd Brandi Covington-Windom stay doing something smh!!
As laughter filled the comment section, users started nicknaming the mystery man “TikTok Sherman Klump,” a reference to Eddie Murphy’s iconic character from The Nutty Professor.
Shuntez Darden wrote,
Sis you did Sherman klump wrong
Shuntez DardenWhile Donna Grinstead pointed out, “He shouldn’t have shaved his beard… that’s all. Same smile.”
For most viewers, though, it wasn’t just the catfish reveal that made the clip unforgettable; it was Brandi’s unmistakable, gut-busting laugh.
Lisa Flowers wrote, “Your laugh took me out!” while Portia Kay Davis Dickerson said, “Yo laugh.”
Even those who weren’t watching live but caught the replay couldn’t help but be impressed. LaTonya Bynum ,

Brandi herself made sure to keep things light, posting a follow-up that reminded everyone to “make them show thay face before any convo get started.”
By the end of the week, users were still referencing the “TikTok Catfish Reveal,” turning Brandi’s laughter into a meme of its own.
One viewer summed it up perfectly: “Baby, the way I’m hollering in this house, these folks gone put me out.”
As for Brandi, she’s taking her sudden internet fame in stride. She joked,
“but that laugh just came out. Bless his heart — but next time, let’s leave the filters in 2026.”
