Rickey D. Hyusa, aka Rickey Foster-Jackson, a Michigan resident and longtime soccer coach, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2026, at an untimely age, leaving behind his family, friends, and loved ones heartbroken.
While the actual cause of Rickey D. Hyusa’s untimely death has not yet been disclosed, his family is grieving the loss of their beloved member.
Many of his loved ones are paying tribute and extending heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.
One of his longtime friends, Chad Graham, took to his Facebook to express his sorrow and recall the memories of the late Rickey.
The post reads:
“It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to my best friend, Rickey D. Hyusa.
He was my longest-running friendship of over 25 years, and I am absolutely devastated. None of us saw this coming, and the loss is beyond words.”
Similarly, Rickey’s partner, Megan Emry, shared a beautiful picture of him with her two kids and wrote, “Thank you for coming into our lives 💖.“
In addition to his partner, Rickey D. Hyusa is survived by his two stepdaughters, parents, siblings, and the whole family.
The Late Rickey D. Hyusa Was a Longtime GISA Coach
Rickey D. Hyusa, also known as Rickey Foster-Jackson, positively impacted the lives of many as a skilled coach, mentor, and leader.
He had been serving as a soccer coach in Brunswick, Georgia, for over a decade, working with various associations and leading his team to several victories.
Furthermore, Rickey had been serving as the at the Golden Isles Soccer Association since 2013, until his recent passing.
For almost 13 years, he guided several athletes in their sports careers and won the hearts of many.
Rickey also served as the game advisor of GameStop for over 10 years.
Likewise, his social media profiles indicate that he also worked at the Connecticut State Soccer Association (CCSA) and played collegiate soccer at the College of Coastal Georgia, from which he graduated in 2015.
In addition to being an amazing athlete and coach, Rickey was also a talented musician and gamer.
His contribution to the community as a coach and a kind person will always be remembered.
