Angie Matthews alleges that the Natomas High School Varsity Football coach’s son sent an explicit sexual image, who does not attend the high school.
It was shared in the team’s official football Instagram group chat.
Exposure to explicit sexual images can be deeply harmful to children and teenagers.
Young minds are still developing their understanding of relationships, intimacy, and healthy boundaries. Viewing graphic adult content before they are emotionally ready can lead to confusion, anxiety, and distorted views of relationships.
Protecting minors is a community effort. Schools and families must work together to shield young people from material they are not ready to process.
A safe environment is where children can grow up with a healthy, age-appropriate understanding of human relationships.

Parents Concerned After Explicit Image Sent to Natomas High Football Team
A Natomas High School parent, Angie Matthews, is raising the alarm after an explicit image was sent to the entire varsity football team on Christmas Day.
The image was sent through the team’s official Instagram group chat by the minor son of the head football coach.
When your kids are your life, everyday is Mother’s Day. All of the drawings, all of the love, all of the smiles, and everything in between. For me, this day is about thanking them for teaching me, loving me, and encouraging me to be the best version of myself. I would be lost without my kids. I am thankful for our journey.
Matthews is a proud mother of two sons and states that the image remains accessible.
The school administration sent a general email to students, but didn’t notify parents of affected students.
The coach, whose son is allegedly involved, continues to coach the team.
The Natomas Unified School District confirmed that it is aware of the situation and called it a personnel matter, which is being handled by police.
This situation feels unsafe and inappropriate, especially since it has not been fully investigated.
Matthews has filed a police report and is consulting legal counsel, along with another parent.
Moreover, she mentioned that the parents who want more information can message her privately.
The Natomas High School incident has left many parents demanding more transparency and action. They questioned the safety and oversight of team communications.
