North Carolina volleyball coach Shonda Wallace has been facing accusations of cheating, recruiting, and “stacking” her team, despite delivering strong performances and winning games.

Recently, Coach Shonda’s husband, Brandon Wallace, shared a heartfelt post regarding the ongoing controversy, in which Shonda reflected on her thoughts and provided her justification.

In the post, Brandon explained that Shonda did not have access to her account and expressed that it has been more than enough that she has been subjected to such false accusations.

Community and Husband Brandon Support North Carolina Volleyball Coach Shonda Wallace Despite Ongoing Accusations!

In the latest Facebook post, Coach Wallace addressed the allegations, defending her integrity and emphasizing the hard work of her players throughout the season.

She explained that the claims were entirely false and expressed her disappointment at how adults in the volleyball community tried to overshadow her team’s accomplishments.

Coach Wallace, who has years of experience as both a professional and college athlete, described the situation as deeply upsetting.

She said that her team earned every victory and played with dedication, integrity, and passion.

Wallace highlighted the challenges her team faced during the season, from canceled matches to competing in a higher classification, yet still rising to succeed.

She insisted that her team was built “100% organically,” with every player earning their spot through hard work and perseverance.

Following the false accusations against Wallace, the community response has been overwhelmingly supportive.

Former teammates, parents, and fellow coaches praised her character, work ethic, and dedication to developing not just athletes but strong, confident young women.

Reflecting Wallace’s hard work and dedication in coaching, one user in the comments writes;

As someone who has known Shonda for over 20 years (as her college teammate) this 100% rings true. Her character should never be questioned as it is the model for integrity, heart, work ethic, and competitive drive. She was a world class college and professional athlete who is now instilling these same values into her players. I’ve seen how she coaches and she is special. She connects with her players and drives them to be their absolute best version of themselves, athletically and professionally. Keep shining Shonda! So proud of you and your team’s success.

While she has the support of the community and is proud of her girls’ efforts for the team, she asks adults not to spread negativity and to be helpful to one another.

Lastly, despite all the accusations against her, Wallace thanks her husband, the administration, fans, parents, her excellent staff, and her team for their unwavering support and hard work this season.
