The situation in Sumner County’s USD 353 has turned into a series of District Sex Scandals that have caused serious concern throughout the community.
According to the anonymous author from Sumner AccountabiliCow, three employees were asked to resign this school year due to inappropriate sexual actions.
One middle school teacher and assistant golf coach allegedly engaged in sexual activity with a paraeducator, reportedly on school grounds, leading to his resignation at the October 13 BOE meeting.
Another case involved the head golf and wrestling coach, who shared explicit Snapchat content showing his significant other performing a sexual act (oral sex) on him.
His significant other, who is also a high school counselor and the superintendent’s ex‑wife, appeared in the video, which the coach posted on the same Snapchat account he regularly used to communicate with student athletes.
Moreover, his resignation was accepted on December 8, and the author questions why the counselor remains employed and why the BOE did not report the incident to the police.
The post mentions past claims about district leaders, saying these repeated scandals show ongoing problems with judgment, oversight, and openness.

was shared by an anonymous member of Sumner AccountabiliCow, who laid out each incident and emphasized patterns of misconduct and institutional protection.
The author focused heavily on the BOE’s handling of these cases, criticizing the district for minimizing incidents, accepting resignations quietly, and failing to prioritize student safety.
They wrapped up their post by saying the district can’t keep mishandling scandals and dodging responsibility while still expecting taxpayers to approve millions in new bond money.
The author ends, saying:
If a district can’t manage professionalism, safety, transparency, or trust—then it has no business managing more of our money.

People reacting to the post shared their own perspectives on accountability and misconduct, and highlighted the author’s concerns.
One commenter highlighted their concerns about legal compliance, writing,
Schools are federally required to protect students from sex-based harassment and exposure to sexual conduct by staff.
Since the district minimized the Snapchat incident, and allowed the counselor to remain in a position of trust afterward, the district possibly could be in violation of Title IX by:
Creating a sexually hostile educational environment and/or discouraging students from reporting or objecting to the behavior.
These violations fall under 34 C.F.R. Part 106, and can lead to loss of federal funding.
Another added their own allegation, saying they had seen similar behavior in the district before, writing:
The golf coach and para wasn’t just a rumor they were caught bare assed right after dismissal of that day in a classroom . But they won’t talk about that or the meth head they hired and then fired for the high school
A third commenter added,
It has been long long known that there is a large community of swingers in this town… If you put the 353 employees in a venn diagram of who has slept with who, it would be a circle!
These types of activities by the teacher are not only inappropriate but also a serious violation of professional ethics and student safety expectations.
Authorities should take immediate action to investigate these incidents, enforce accountability, and ensure that no staff member is allowed to endanger students or violate professional standards without consequences.
