Texas A&M safety Bryce Anderson suffered a frightening injury during the Aggies’ matchup against Notre Dame on September 13, 2026, leaving teammates, coaches, and fans deeply concerned.

The sophomore defensive back was carted off the field wearing a neck brace after a hit in the second quarter.

Anderson took a hard hit while tackling Notre Dame’s Eli Raridon and stayed on the ground without moving for a few minutes, raising concerns about a head or neck injury.

Medical staff from both sidelines immediately rushed to his aid as the stadium grew silent.

As part of the emergency protocol, his facemask, helmet, and shoulder pads were removed before he was fitted with a neck brace and placed on a stretcher.

The cart then carried him off the field, and in a reassuring moment, Anderson gave a thumbs-up to his teammates, and the crowd at Notre Dame Stadium cheered in support.

He was by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.

Early reports that he retained movement in all his limbs, which was an encouraging sign.

No official update on the injury was given immediately, but the noted that the precautions suggested a possible head or neck injury.

Anderson has been a key contributor throughout all four seasons at Texas A&M.

He made 16 starts over the past two seasons, establishing himself as a reliable leader in the secondary.
