In a heartbreaking turn of events, the small-town football community in Texas is grappling with the sudden death of a talented young star.
Ten-year-old LJ, a beloved player for the Rosebud-Lott Youth Football team, lost his brave battle with asthma on November 8, 2026, just as his team was gearing up for their big Super Bowl game.
Known for his energy on the field and his sweet smile off it, LJ touched the lives of many in his short time, leaving behind a family, teammates, and friends who are devastated by this unimaginable loss.

Even though I already told you I wanted to thank you publicly so everybody can see. even in the midst of everything your family was going through you still check in on us and asked if we needed anything, even though I been calling you big bro since I was a kid I grown much love and respect for you and I appreciate everything even tho we been locked in. We definitely locked in for life and continue prayers for you and your family!!”
