Nye Milani, a mother from Vance, South Carolina, took to her Facebook page to share a really tough day she and her son went through, and how the school handled the bullying.

She explained that while she was at work, she got a call from her son, who was really upset.

According to her post, during recess, when the kids were playing football, another child stepped in some feces and then deliberately stepped right on her son’s sneakers with it.

That alone sounds awful and gross, but what makes it worse is that this isn’t something new or out of the blue for them.

The mother revealed that her son has been dealing with ongoing bullying at Cesar Batalla School since back in August.

She said she’s spent months advocating for her son, keeping records of everything, talking to the school, and even asking for a control transfer to get him into a different environment.

In fact, Nye Milani also reached out to the Board of Education and filed a formal complaint, too. Despite all of that effort, she feels like nothing has really changed, and the problems just keep going on.

In her post, she pointed out how unfair it seems when her son gets in trouble for simple things, like choosing where he wants to sit in the cafeteria because he wants to use his own free will, while the kids doing the bullying don’t seem to face much accountability at all.

She believes the way the administration is handling things has created a place where bullying gets downplayed and even allowed to get bigger over time.

After this latest incident with the sneakers, Nye decided enough was enough.

She made it very clear that her son will not be going back to that school because she can’t trust them to keep him safe. Nye Milani wrote:

Today was the last straw. I made it clear that my son will not be returning to a place that refuses to keep him safe.

She doesn’t want to keep waiting and worrying about whether something even more serious might happen one day.

To make the day even harder, right after they left the school, they got into a car accident. Apparently, another driver turned into their lane, and the other car had an infant inside.

Luckily, everyone came out okay with no serious injuries, but it was still a scary moment on top of everything else.

Nye ended her message by saying she’s grateful that she and her son are safe, even though she’s completely exhausted from it all.

She said that she is also done with staying quiet when systems that are supposed to protect children end up failing them instead.

Many supported her and suggested that she not let the bullies get away. Tanya Hawkins Fernandes wrote:

No way someone needs to be held accountable don’t let them get away with it because it’s never going to stop and the bullies are just gonna target another kid parents need to check their kids because baby listen they can meet us on the steps of that school parents grandparents great grandparents their whole generation because it’s unacceptable TF
